Bob Forsch Dead: Former St. Louis Cardinals Pitcher Dies At 61

Former St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Bob Forsch died on on Thursday at his home near Tampa, Fla., one week after throwing out a ceremonial first pitch before Game 7 of the World Series. Forsch was 61.

According to several reports, Forsch died of an apparent heart attack.

Forsch ranks as the third-winningest pitcher in Cardinals history with 163 wins for the franchise. He threw two no-hitters, one in 1978 and another in 1983.
